Every time you choose Philly's, you are enabling us to make a difference in our community.
THANK YOU for your participation and involvement in our efforts to make a difference!
Here are a few of the highlights of what we have been up to in the community.
During our Grand Opening we chose to support the Boys & Girls Club of the Wausau Area by collecting items from their Unmet Needs Program. We asked our guests to bring in an item or cash donation in which they received a $25 coupon sheet to be used at Phillys. We were able to collect many hygiene supplies, clothes, and school supplies for the kids at the club. Thank-you to all of you that participated, and a special thank-you to Wausau's Bath & Body Works who donated many of the hygiene supplies as well as some fun items.
Philly's believes that no matter the dream anything is possible. We are very excited to have been given the opportunity to be a sponsor in the making of this record for this local musician. Please support Scotty K's music by purchasing a copy of "Demons" available at Innersleeve Records or www.cdbaby.com/cd/scottyk2
Philly's participated in collecting your change for the the WDEZ BS & Vanessa's Change Challenge. Vanessa's goal was to collect 1 million pennies, while Bryan thought collecting 40,000 quarters would be easier. In the end, the kids won collecting $55.79 @ Philly's! But for the record, BS did collect more at $35.72 to Vanessa's $20.07.
THANK YOU to everyone who participated.
Jeff & Steph volunteered at the "BOWL LIKE A ROCK STAR" event for Big Brothers Big Sisters at Dales Weston Lanes. Jeff worked selling raffle tickets for the Taste of Wausau raffle basket, while Steph worked as a Personal Lane Server. Prizes were also donated from Philly's for the raffle.
This year Steph & Jeff and their families decided to skip the holiday gifts, and instead spread love and cheer with a local nursing home. The kids spent the weekend constructing reindeer ornaments to give to the residents of Wausau Manor during a surprise visit. In addition to visiting with the residents and singing holiday songs, they delivered Philly's 15 pc. party platters for the employees of Wausau Manor in appreciation to their dedication to the residents and hours put in during the holidays.
Though their were no gifts under their tree, in fact no tree at all, Steph says; "I couldn't have had a better holiday, or better kids, I am so proud of each of them. The quality time we spent together during their holiday break playing games, making crafts, and seeing our "giving elf" project through beats any hustle and bustle of your normal holiday traditions & festivities."
Throughout the year we donate raffle prizes like gift cards and t-shirts to organizations raising money to help thoes in our community. Here is a highlight of some of the places we have donated to in 2016. We wanted to highlight the ones who sent Thank-You cards because Philly's along with the help of our wonderful guests make these donations possible!
Philly's donated to Krista's reunion with her "hero" including a t-shirt, free subs, and a personal letter to Eric in appreciation for his heroic actions. We are very passionate about giving and are so thankful for his actions in Krista's time of need. We hope that their story and Eric's selfless act will inspire people to do the same.
Philly’s Subs and Gyros sponsored a Co-Ed Softball Team that plays through Mosinee Softball League.
Philly’s Subs and Gyros is a small locally owned business, not a franchise. We understand the importance of supporting fellow small businesses in our area.
We have created this Featured Business Board to showcase some of the small business in our area that you can support to make a big difference.
Philly's along with the help of our wonderful guests collected items needed for the Humane Society of Marathon County. Together we were able to help the animals who did not have a forever home during the holiday season.
